Time definitely flies way too fast as "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week 2 episode will feature its first elimination of the season. The elimination follows the events that took place during the controversial premiere episode of the competition, where Olympian Ryan Lochte was almost mobbed by two male protesters.

Prior to "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week 2 episode, the previous episode took an interesting turn when anti-Ryan Lochte protesters were tackled to the ground by "DWTS" security. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two men were identified as 59-year-old Sam Sotoodeh and 25-year-old Barzeen Soroudi and were arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing.

Before Ryan Lochte's "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week 2 performance, posted an official statement on Twitter regarding the incident. Entertainment Weekly quoted Lochte's message of gratitude to his family, girlfriend, friends and fans, as well as thanking his dance partner Cheryl Burke.

Meanwhile, things are getting more exciting in "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week 2 as the participants brave the first elimination of the season. What's more interesting in this week's episode are the song choices, which are reportedly theme songs from some of the most popular and favorite television shows.

As for the dance style classifications, "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week 2 participants will perform a Viennese Waltz, cha cha, jive, Argentine Tango, quickstep and Paso Doble, Just Jared Jr. revealed. In addition, professional dancers Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Cheryl Burke and Derek Hough will also be performing a special dance number on the show.

In other "Dancing with the Stars" season 23-related news, there were rumors that Ryan Lochte might quit the show following the protest during the premiere episode. Fortunately, the rumors were untrue as he's set to perform a quickstep with Burke this Monday night to the tune of "The Muppet Show Theme."
