Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder Reunion: Actor Talks About Sex Scenes With Ex-Girlfriend On ‘The Vampire Diaries’

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are believed to be reuniting in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, as The CW drama is wrapping off the show in the upcoming season. This left a lot of "Delena" fans excited and wondering whether they can expect for some intimate scenes between the former couple.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev reunion is one of the most highly anticipated moments in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. The CW execs and the show's cast confirmed that they are currently in talks with the 27-year-old regarding her potential return to the show.

Series creator Julie Plec also shared during the San Diego Comic Con that Dobrev promised to return for the "TVD" series finale. Many fans and viewers, especially the Delena fans, were thrilled to hear of Dobrev's potential return. Some were even hoping to see one more intimate scene between Dobrev and Somerhalder's characters.

In an earlier interview with Somerhalder, as per Unreality TV, the actor admitted that Damon and Elena have something unique between them. While Somerhalder was aware of the fact that characters on "The Vampire Diaries" will not always get their happy endings, he finds it "cute" to see Damon interact with Elena.

"Damon is just smitten, he's in love and it's cute, you know?" he said.

Dobrev also told Conan during an earlier interview that her mom would sometimes give her tips on how to film sex scenes for "The Vampire Diaries." Dobrev admitted that it felt awkward to see her mom watch such kinds of scenes and much more to hear tips from her.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 premieres on Oct. 21 on The CW.
