Tom Hanks' Son Chet Wanted in London For Destroying Hotel Property

The police in London are on the hunt for Chester Hanks, the 24-year-old son of Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks, for allegedly trashing a hotel room in the city, according to Mirror. Employees at the Arora International Hotel, a four-star establishment based near the Gatwick Airport, told the police that Chester, also known by his rapper name Chet Haze, damaged $1,800 worth of hotel property.

The hotel staff found out that Chet pulled the TV set off a wall and shattered some glass in his room. Other guests at the Arora also claimed that the wannabe rapper had been "loud and obnoxious," prompting the receptionist to ask the younger Hanks to minimize the noise in his room.

A witness told Mirror that Chet had been drinking at the VIP lounge of a nearby club and then invited a friend and three women back to his room. When the women refused to get in bed with him, he allegedly started screaming and demanded for cocaine.

"Then all you could hear was this smashing and crashing. Next morning he was gone but the room was trashed. Everything was smashed and there was glass all over the floor," said one of the witnesses to the police. The news described the incident as a "sex and drugs row."

In November 2014, Tom Hank's son said that he had gone to rehab and was 50 days sober at that time he posted this message on his Instagram: "I've been struggling with substance abuse since I was 16 years old. Finally at the age of 24 I decided to get some help," Chet partly wrote. "I'm thankful for my family and everybody that cares about me, including my fans. I've been blessed with the programs of AA and NA which allow me to rise above this disease."

Chet has also been embroiled in numerous public feuds with personalities like Howard Stern and his longtime friend and music collaborator, Scrilla King, according to People Magazine. However, the Mirror story said that he has a good relationship with his father and was even seen with Tom watching and enjoying a hockey match in Madison Square Garden in March. Chet was also by his mother's side when Rita Wilson had to undergo breast cancer surgery.

When Chester Hanks got wind of the report that the British police are after him for vandalizing a hotel, he reportedly claimed that this is all "a slanderous bold-faced lie" which his legal team will take care of. Tom Hanks' reps, meanwhile, did not make any comment.
