"Outlander" Season 3 air date is believed to be on April 1, 2017, as Romper reports that the previous seasons of the Starz drama were released at around the same time. This means that fans and viewers still have a couple of months away to quench their thirst over the so-called "Droughtlander."

"Outlander" Season 3 spoilers reveal that the upcoming season will see an older version of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan). As most fans can recall, Jamie and Claire separated and the latter traveled through time in order to save her and Jamie's daughter, Brianna.

During a recent Q&A with showrunner Ron Moore on Twitter, it was revealed that filming for the first block of "Outlander" Season 3 is almost done. The upcoming season of the Starz time traveler series, which is based from Diana Gabaldon's third book "Voyager," will have a total of 13 episodes.

Zap2It also notes that "Outlander" Season 3 will be filmed around the Caribbean since part of the upcoming season will see Jamie go on a trip through the seas. Moore said that such scenes will not be filmed till 2017.

Moore also replied to a fan that he is still considering options on where he will film the voyage part for "Outlander" Season 3. Many fans are hoping to see the cast film some parts in the U.S., but Moore told the aforementioned publication that they currently have no plans to do so for the upcoming season.
