Calvin Harris Sets Record Straight On The Inspiration Of His Track 'My Way' And Its Relation To Taylor Swift

Successful music producer Calvin Harris is being questioned by fans regarding his newly released track, "My Way," and if it is related to his past relationship with pop star Taylor Swift. The "This Is What You Came For" producer finally said his piece about the matter and why he was convinced to sing on his track for the first time.

According to E! Online, Harris said that the song "My Way" has no relation to his breakup with "1989" singer, Taylor Swift. He explained that it is more the story of his struggle in making it in the music industry. He was this small town boy from Scotland who moved to London to pursue his dreams and everybody was saying a lot of too-good-to-be-true things about the career he is working on. Harris said that it is as if you get brainwashed by people trying to make you think of things that are far from the reality of what you are about to really get into.

But of course, fans deciphered it the other way and connected it into his failed relationship with Taylor Swift. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the 32-year-old producer did, however, told the radio host that people could actually interpret the song to a job they hate then quitting it and realizing that life is awesome after doing it. The same thing with relationships that after ending it, they would realize that life is so much better after it. Hence, the reason why fans think it is a song for Taylor Swift.

Calvin Harris is not known as a singer, but with the help of Pharell, he was pushed to lay in the vocals on this new track. According to MTV, the "Happy" singer and known producer, Pharell Williams, did convince Harris to go out of his comfort zone and sing his heart out on "My Way."
