'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' Trailer & Release Date: Plot Revealed, DC Universe For the New Generation?

The upcoming DC film "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is one of the most anticipated films for kids and adults alike and Warner Bros. has just released the official synopsis of the movie. 

According to Slash Film, the plot for the Ben Affleck (Batman) and Henry Cavill (Superman) movie is found below:

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.

Without a first trailer in sight, the plot pretty much reveals what fans have expected from the beginning, Batman will be going up against Superman. However, we also know that it's not going to be the only focus. 

The synopsis also mentions a new threat which has yet to be confirmed. It's possible that it could be other confirmed cast members, namely, Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). In addition, it also poses the question about how Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will fit into the new movie. 

Hopefully more information will be given on the movie in the coming months. The trailer, which was seen from the point of view of Batman (below). 

"Dawn of Justice" is gearing up to be first of a new set of DC films that will include "Justice League," "Suicide Squad" and other stand alone movies related to the comic books. Older generations will recall earlier caped crusader franchises like the Tim Burton/ Joel Schumacher 1990s movies as well as Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy. 

However, as published by Cinema Blend, the version of the billionaire-hero has been described as "tired and weary and seasoned." There is also a rumor circulating that "this version of Batman has actually already gotten rid of crime in Gotham City and has basically taken the place over, but there is no evidence to currently support that claim."
