Charlie Hunnam rose to popularity in the FX series, "Sons of Anarchy" as Jackson 'Jax' Teller. While the series came to a conclusion in 2014, many fans could not help but ask to see more of Hunnam and his character in the series.

Their wish was granted when Kurt Sutter confirmed that an "SOA" prequel was in the works. This prequel, however, is set to take place years before Hunnam's character was born, and would, instead, focus on his father, John Teller.

This meant that Hunnam would have no role to play in the upcoming "Sons of Anarchy" prequel. However, many fans believed that Hunnam could still play a different character in the new show.

Hunnam and Sutter recently dispelled rumors about an alleged rift between them and shared their new project through a Twitter post. The 36-year-old actor challenged Sutter to the 22 push-up challenge, and the series creator gratefully accepted the challenge and said that he loved the actor.

Movie Pilot also reports on a possible leaked script for "Sons of Anarchy" prequel. According to the publication, the alleged leaked script seemingly coincides with Sutter's description of the prequel.

Sutter also teased about the return of "Sons of Anarchy" through a post on Twitter. In the said photo, El President Marcus Alvarez is seen leading the group, which seemingly hints that his character will be back for the spinoff titled "Mayans MC."
