Jamie Dornan Leaves ‘Fifty Shades Freed:’ Actor Desperate To Get Rid Of Christian Grey After Landing New Movie?

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson immediately became household names after they took on the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, respectively, in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movies. However, a recent report suggests that the 34-year-old actor may be leaving the BDSM movie franchise after landing a new project.

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan made a lot of fans excited after the trailer for "Fifty Shades Darker" was released online in preparation for its February 2017 release. While these actors immediately rose to fame following their roles in the movie, a report from Celeb Dirty Laundry suggests that Dornan is keen on getting rid of his image as Christian Grey.

According to the publication, Dornan is close to landing a role in the "Robin Hood" movie next to Taron Eagerton, Jamie Foxx and Eve Hewson. If Dornan gets this role, then he can get the chance to wipe off his image that has been marked in the minds of the audience after starring as Christian Grey for "Fifty Shades of Grey."

There are also reports that Dornan may leave "Fifty Shades Freed," the last installment to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" franchise based on E.L. James' trilogy. However, it is highly unlikely to see Dornan drop out of the project now that he has done two installments for the franchise.

Dornan recently announced his departure from the BBC series, "The Fall" as Paul Spector. During London's BFI, Dornan said that it was hard for him to leave the show since he has grown fond of his character, reports Mirror.

This may be a complete opposite to Dornan's response when asked about his role for "Fifty Shades of Grey." During the same interview, Dornan referred to his role in the franchise as just simply being "one job."
