MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, News & Specs: Skylake vs Kaby Lake And Wireless Charging; Why Release Date Points To Q4?

A lot of consumers are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016. As most know, the last MacBook released was more than a year ago, so fans of the upcoming laptop want to know when the new MacBook Pro 2016 would be finally revealed.

The last time Apple provided its fans with a new MacBook Pro with a 13 inch model was on March 2015 while its 15 inch was in May 2015. Since it has been more than a year ago since we got a new MacBook Pro, it is just due that the Apple releases its MacBook Pro 2016 soon.

While Apple did not provide any details regarding the MacBook Pro 2016 during its iPhone 7 launch, speculations surrounding its release still points out to the last quarter of the year.

Reports have also surfaced that the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 will be very different from its old MacBook Pro as it will be lighter, thinner and faster. Another question however with the upcoming laptop is if it is going to have Skylake processor or a Kaby Lake processor since Kaby Lake is the upcoming processor from Intel.

However, reports are still pointing to a Skylake processor which would also allow faster speed for the CPU which could boost up to 10 to 20 percent with the battery life expanding to 30 percent, according to Apple Insider. Skylake also supports wireless charging which may give the MacBook Pro 2016 a unique offer that is not yet being done by its competitors. But we can assume that the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 would not have that support yet.

The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is also reported to have an OLED touch-sensitive function bar that would replace the traditional function keys. It will also offer a USB-C port, fingerprint technology, and different color variant for its consumers to choose from.
