"Steven Universe" Season 3 return date has been a hot topic among fans and viewers of the Cartoon Network series. The show unexpectedly went on yet another hiatus after airing an episode titled "Onion Gang."

The show has been known for going on long periods of break in-between episodes and seasons. What remains to be seen, however, is whether "Steven Universe" will return with new episodes for Season 3 or if the upcoming episodes will be for Season 4.

Series creator Rebecca Sugar also teased that in "Steven Universe" Season 4, part of the focus will be on revealing more about Rose Quartz. As Steven finally comes to terms with Rose Quartz's failures, Sugar told The Wrap that the upcoming season of the CN series will deal heavily with Greg.

There is also a possibility that a new Gem fusion will be introduced in "Steven Universe" Season 4 after featuring Smoky Quartz in Season 3. Sugar also told Newsarama in a previous interview that she has big plans for Season 5, which many speculate will be the show's series finale.

"Endgame or not I'm shooting for the moon, I'm going to write us into a serious corner," she said.

"Steven Universe" Season 4 may also feature more about the Gem hierarchy, as the show is slowly building up into the Gem world. Many fans are also wondering whether Yellow Diamond will arrive on Earth in the upcoming season, but as Sugar teased, all these and more will be unveiled in the upcoming episodes.
