'Madam Secretary' Season 3 Latest News: Unexpected Crises For The McCords Await

As Elizabeth McCord and her staff return this October for the upcoming season 3 premiere of CBS' "Madam Secretary," she prepares to take on essential matters in Algeria which were left at her disposal by a deceased colleague. While there, her family also encounter some unexpected surprises on their own.

The political drama "Madam Secretary" would have the McCords dealing with an online security breach when one of her kids' computers get hacked. This would lead to speculations that Elizabeth McCords' enemies may be threatening her family's life this time and are not stepping back easy, says Spoiler TV.

What To Expect In "Madam Secretary" Season 3 Episode 2: "The Linchpin" (Spoilers ahead!)

"The Linchpin" is slated to air on October 16, and would be the series' second episode for season 3. Elizabeth McCord would be using her noted political skills in attempting to cautiously redirect the Algerian government towards a peaceful change in its government's ranks. As "Madam Secretary" (Tea Leoni) in Algeria, she would also be dealing with a change in the negotiation plans following the untimely passing of U.S. Ambassador to Algeria Roy Curtis (Dakin Matthews).

With Elizabeth busy working the peace negotiations, her husband Henry also gets entangled in a campaign to save religious artifacts in Algeria, in related Broadway World News. He learns that another person of interest has been destroying them, one named Hizb al-Shahid.

Henry and Elizabeth's children are in some sort of impending danger, when it's been found out that Jason's computer has been hacked. Actor/Screenwriter Michael Boatman ("Spin City", "Anger Management") will be guest starring in the second episode for "Madam Secretary" season 3 as FBI Director Keith Doherty.

Although the new season isn't airing until two weeks from now, fans of "Madam Secretary" are set to explore the twists and turns behind the workings of a mild-mannered political figure, who continues to juggle between her role as State Secretary and as a regular mom. "Madam Secretary" heads back to TV screens this October 2.
