Philadelphia 76ers Latest News: Jahlik Okafor, Nerlens Noel Will No Longer Be Traded? Elton Brand To Help Establish Team?

Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel are two of the players frequently mentioned in NBA trade rumors in the past months but the latest report says that Philadelphia 76ers is no longer considering trading them. It was also reported that Elton Brand is set to establish the NBA team.

In a report by Game N Guide,Noel and Okafor are no longer going anywhere as Philadelphia 76ers decided to keep the two players despite the crowded front. The two big men are part of a quite powerful frontline but head coach Brett Brown reportedly realized that they could use the two great players if the strings are pulled correctly.

Philadelphia 76ers still as a weak backcourt but their front court, including Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Dario Saric make them one of the best contenders in the playoffs this NBA 2016-2017 season. Accordingly, many teams have offered their deals to Philadelphia 76ers for Okafor and Noel but the players to be traded to the team were not reasonable.

As for Brand making the Philadelphia 76ers, Inquisitr reported that the training camp of the team is set to begin at Stockton University in Galloway, Township New Jersey this September 27 and he will help train the other players.

As of now, Philadelphia 76ers has 20 players under contract. The final roster for the team has not been released and there are still a lot of work to do regarding this. Brand reportedly agreed to join the Philadelphia 76ers once again for a one-year $1.5 million deal earlier this month because he wants to provide leadership.

Brand retired years back but came out of retirement in January. He appeared in 17 games for Philadelphia 76ers. Accordingly, he wants to tutor Okafor, Embiid, and Saric. Noel and the other guaranteed players to make the roster for this season are also to be trained by Brand.

Philadelphia 76ers is yet to comment on these reports.
