Snapchat Introduces New Product The Spectacles; Release Date And Price

Snapchat announced their new product on September 26. It is called the Spectacles and it is a smartglass. The company has jumped from being known as a social networking site to a company that now offers an actual hardware product. Spectacles would be under Snapchat's other company called Snap Inc.

Spectacles is a promising smartglass that tech enthusiasts couldn't wait to get their hands on anytime soon. According to CNET, Snapchat is about to release Spectacles this fall and it is most likely to be a trend soon as it hits the market. There are still who are skeptical about selling smartglasses since the downfall of Google Glass, but many are hoping that this particular smartglass might be the game changer that everyone is hoping for.

The Wall Street Journal wrote some of the features that the new smartglass from Snapchat has. This one has a built-in camera that allows you to record up to 10 seconds of video footages. You can also automatically upload your recorded videos on Snapchat, but still with the use of your smartphone, whether it is an iOS or Android one. To do that, you will have to pair your mobile device using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

This is not the first time that a smartglass was released with a camera. In fact, it has been invented a couple of years ago by companies like Pivothead and of course, Google. You might wonder what is the difference with Spectacles and how exactly is their product any better than those that went ahead. Apparently, Snap Inc. made smartglasses look more fun to wear and something that could actually be worn on a daily basis with people are watching you.

Some say that the former smartglasses don't look something they would wear in public, but not this one. The price is $130 and we'll leave the question to you if you think it is reasonable or expensive to purchase one
