"Fast 8" will not feature Paul Walker, says Michelle Rodriguez in an interview with Huffington Post. Reports of Walker's character, Brian O'Conner's return began after his brothers Caleb and Cody said that they had a talk with Vin Diesel.

According to The Guardian, Caleb and Cody completed "Furious 7" in behalf of Paul, as their brother met a tragic accident before he finished production for the movie. Many fans considered the possibility that Caleb and Cody may do the same for "FF8" and act as Brian with the help of CGI.

However, many fans were also quite opposed to the idea. According to some, "Fast and Furious 7" gave the best tribute to Walker's character, which did not see him dead, but instead focused on Brian choosing his family over his career.

Caleb and Cody admitted that they had a discussion with Diesel and the latter asked for their blessing to bring back Brian in the "Fast and Furious" movie franchise. However, the Walker brothers did not specify whether this would happen in "Fast 8" or in the final instalment of the franchise.

Rodriguez also told the aforementioned publication that Paul was very lucky to have a wise daughter who knew what he would and would not like. According to the actress, Paul's daughter protected her father by choosing not to have his character return for "Fast & Furious 8."
