Google Nexus 2016 To Come On October 4; HTC Nexus Sailfish Now Found On Geekbench

Google Nexus is still alive and will be competing in performance with Galaxy Note 7 as new HTC phones under its Nexus brand comes after a couple of months. The phone will be one powerful phone as revealed on Weibo and will be named "Sailfish."

According to a Twitter post from Steve Hemmerstoffer, the upcoming Google Nexus from its AnTuTu listing will be HTC Sailfish and will be run by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It will also have a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The benchmark listing also shows that the Google Nexus 2016 phone will have great specs for its camera with 8-megapixel selfie shooter and 13-megapixel rear camera. It will also come with a Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Another Google Nexus phone that will come before 2016 ends is "Marlin." The upcoming Google Nexus Marlin will be different from HTC Sailfish since this one will have an HTC 10 design with Fingerprint at the back. However, it is said that HTC Sailfish is more powerful than Marlin because Sailfish can even compete with Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S7.

While the HTC Sailfish will be running on Android 7.0, Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy & have fast UFS storage, according to BGR. HTC Marlin, while it is identical in specs with Sailfish, will be the next phablet of Google Nexus.

 

Both Google Nexus 2016 the HTC Sailfish and HTC Marlin will be unveiled on October 4 during Google's event in San Francisco. There will also be other unveilings of Google phones during the said event and it would also introduce Google Pixel.

As reported by Time, the upcoming Google Pixel will not look any different with Google's current Google Nexus 2016 lineup and will also come in two sizes. Just like Sailfish and Marlin, the upcoming Pixel will also become popular among avid Google Nexus buyers.
