According to N4BB, a recent update of "The Winds of Winter" suggests that the book is not coming out anytime soon. If you notice, the Starks in "Game of Thrones" are popular in their remarkable phrase, "winter is coming." Unfortunately, it might not come as early as fans want it to be.

In fact, the production of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is delayed and so is the publishing of "The Winds of Winter." According to Ecumenical News, George RR Martin is busy with other projects that is why he can't deliver "The Winds of Winter" on time. Aside from editing "Wild Cards," attending public conventions, working on "Game of Thrones," he also teases about a "GoT" prequel.

This announcement stirs another concern to fans who have been waiting for the sixth "ASOIAF" book for five years and counting.
