‘The Blacklist: Redemption’ Air Date, Latest Update: ‘Blacklist’ Spinoff Hinting Classic Espionage References? Ryan Eggold Gets Ready For New Adventure

Even though "The Blacklist" has recently returned on TV for its fourth installment, actor Ryan Eggold (Tom Keen) is already gearing up for his own spinoff, "The Blacklist: Redemption." In addition, Eggold also revealed there will be some new and exciting twists coming in "The Blacklist: Redemption," especially about his own character. TV Guide added the upcoming spinoff will be more of a "spy/thriller" series and hinted the possibility for crossover episodes with "The Blacklist," with Liz making cameos on the spinoff series.

Eggold added his character's life will going to dramatically change as he enters the world of fatherhood. As for Liz, Cinema Blend revealed she will be dealing with the consequences after faking her death. Tom's mom Scottie Hargrave (Famke Janssen) will also be introduced in "The Blacklist: Redemption."

Meanwhile, "The Blacklist" creator and executive producer Jon Bokenkamp also shared some interesting scoops about the spinoff, "The Blacklist: Redemption." In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bokenkamp revealed his interest to explore new territory and somewhat confirmed the possibilities of crossover between the two series, saying the characters could appear on both shows, Melty noted.

As for "The Blacklist: Redemption" air date, NBC has yet to announce an official premiere date for the spinoff series. But the spinoff is reportedly part of the network's midseason lineup, which means it will probably hit the airwaves in early 2017.
