Townville Elementary School Alleged Shooter To Face More Charges After One Of Victims Dies, 6-Year-Old Will Have Superhero Funeral

A teenager opened fire at an elementary school in South Carolina after he killed his father, resulting in three more people injured, two students and one teacher. Accordingly, the suspect will be facing more charges after one of the victims, a 6-year-old boy, died from his gunshot wound.

USA Today reports that the teenager, 14-year-old Jesse Osborne, faces more charges such as attempted murder and murder. He opened fire at the Townville Elementary School. He also faces one more attempted murder charge for a previously unknown victim. The 6-year-old boy who succumbed to his injuries was identified as Jacob Hall.

The official charges against Osborne are two counts of murder, three counts of attempted murder and five counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

The other victims have been identified as his father, 47-year-old Jeffrey Dewitt Osbourne; first-grade teacher with the Townville Elementary School, Meghan Hollingsworth; and two more students aside from Hall. The suspect reportedly drove a pickup to the school after allegedly killing his father. It remains unclear if Jesse will be tried as an adult.

Accordingly, Jeffrey was laid to rest at Oakdale Baptist Church. He owned a poultry farm and it remains unknown what the motive of Jesse was in allegedly killing his father.

As for the funeral of the 6-year-old, it will reportedly take place on Wednesday and it will be superhero-themed memorial. The service will be at 11 A.M. at Oakdale Baptist Church, ABC News reports. The family encourages those who will attend to wear costumes.

The mother of Hall, Renae, said in a statement, "I don't want suits and ties and all that. There will be a lot of children there and I don't want it to be scary for them."

Classes at the Townville Elementary School will resume on Thursday and teachers are to report for Tuesday to offer counseling services.
