'Timeless' Series Premiere Recap: Time Traveling Changes Everything?

"Timeless," which stars Chad Rook, Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter premiered on NBC. "Timeless" is NBC's newest drama series with time traveling concept.

"Timeless" is created by Eric Kripke (Supernatural) and Shawn Ryan (The Shield). "Timeless" kickstarted revisiting the past, the fall of Hindenburg.

The pilot episode of "Timeless" started with the fall of Hindenburg in 1937 due to the current on the ground while it was arriving. Due to the water and steel infused with current collaborating its contents, the Hindenburg crashed with massive fire while arriving. A lot of people died in the crash.

Meanwhile, in the present, "Timeless" kicked off with ex-NSA asset Garcia Flynn (played by Goran Višnjić) stealing a time-machine from the present to revisit the fall of Hindenburg in 1937. Due to the chaos he created, Homeland Security hired Lucy (played by Abigail Spencer), Delta Force soldier Wyatt (played by Matt Lanter) and a scientist named Rufus (played by Malcolm Barrett) to help the Homeland Security find Flynn.

The three main cast of "Timeless" traveled through time back in 1937 to stop Flynn from interfering with Hindenburg phenomenon. Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus headed to a bar where Wyatt met a famous reporter, Kate, who's about to cover the Hindenburg's arrival.

"Timeless" main characters were not supposed to change anything except to catch Flynn and find out what he was after. Fortunately, the Hindenburg did not explode like what the history says.

The confusion of Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus led to the conclusion and theory that Flynn was not trying to destroy the Hindenburg's arrival, but its departure. Flynn's motive is to kill several important American people during its departure instead by putting a bomb inside Hindenburg while it's departing.

Unluckily enough, Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus got arrested. It was not long enough for them to escape and head to the Hindenburg to try to find the bomb. The three created chaos by posing as Anarchist Black Cross members and demanded the ship to be grounded. Wyatt tries to defuse the bomb and save Kate's life.

Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus saved a lot of lives even when Hindenburg was set to the ground on fire. When Flynn's attack became unsuccessful, he found Lucy and showed her that she wrote, but she didn't, yet. There is one thing he told her, about Rittenhouse, which was not clear at all. Wyatt came to save her life, but after a little battle, Kate, the famous reporter was shot and died within a few minutes.

"Timeless" ended their first episode with Lucy's confusion the moment they came back to the present time. History has changed about the Hindenburg, but that's not the only thing that has changed. She went home to her mother, who's supposed to be ill, but clearly healthy. A surprise that made her happy. However, that happiness changed when she found out that her sister was erased in the present.

Homeland Security denied about Lucy's question about Rittenhouse. However, Rufus recorded Lucy and Wyatt with a motive that is unclear as of the moment. Another trip to another time will be taken on Episode 2 of Timeless.

"Timeless" has a plot-twist ending that is unexpected. Due to Timeless' concept of time traveling, a lot more twists are to be expected. NBC's "Timeless" series changes the perception of its viewers in relation to mystery, time and history.

However, "Timeless" is not the only TV series that is related to time travel. Doctor Who is one of the TV series that focuses on the same concept. The difference of "Timeless" TV series in comparison to others is its historical and futuristic aspects and perception.

"Timeless" sets its vision to every important event that changes everything, as speculated. The group of actors have achieved the scenes' balance on their actions. A few more episodes might lead to more clarity about Timeless' motive as a TV series.

"Timeless" is scheduled to air its second episode on Monday at 10PM on NBC, according to TV Guide. Episode 2 of "Timeless" is set to focus on "The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln" which is to look forward to.
