Google Pixel, Pixel XL Release Date, News Update: First Self-Made Phones Will Beat iPhones? [VIDEO]

Google had a big day in San Francisco on October 4. For the first time the tech giant has announced products of its self-made hardware and software. Unlike the rumors that claimed HTC to be making Google gadgets.

The first smartphone made by Google both "inside and out." Google announced two smart phones - Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. The 5 inch Pixel costs $ 649 and the 5.5 Pixel XL costs $ 769. The devices carry a 4GB RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, fingerprint sensor and 12MP rear-facing camera. The prices are same as that of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

 

Both the Pixel smarties run on Android 7.1 Nougat, Google's recently released operating system. Both the phones have a built-in AI assistant, Google Assistant.

The CNN cites, "The device is poised to take on the iPhone with a built-in artificially intelligent assistant, 4K video and other bells and whistles." This might be true with the amazing features Google is providing.

When it comes to photo storage, Pixel phones may beat iPhones as users will get free unlimited storage pf photos and video better than that of Apple's deal which charges $0.99 for storage of 50 GB after the user has finished using free 5 GB storage. According to TechCrunch, Google made fun of Apple iPhone's screenshot of the "storage full" message.

However, googles automatic upload feature "Smart Storage" will help users to be tension-free of their photos storage as it handles the background upload process.

Along with the Pixel phones Google also launched 4 more devices - Chromecast Ultra, Daydream, Google Wi-Fi and Google Home. Chromecast Ultra device can help you stream content from computer and mobile to your TV through an HDMI port. It is available for $69.

Daydream is a VR headset that costs $79 will hold a smartphone with a hand-held remote to control the screen. It will be available in November. A new router Google Wi-Fi will help to adjust internet connections at home automatically finding the strongest Wi-Fi point around.

Although, Google mentioned about its voice controlled speaker - Google Home, the specifications have come into light. Home comes with a Google Assistant that searches answers, schedules meetings, control Philips Hue lights and Nest thermostats devices It comes for a price of $129.
