SteelSeries Drops New Sleek Line of Gaming Headsets Called The Arctis

SteelSeries has recently released their latest line of gaming headphones, and the Danish gaming accessories manufacturer have gone for a sleeker, more stylish look. SteelsSeries released 3 new headphones, the Arctis 3, 5, and 7.

SteelSeries is one of the earliest manufacturers of gaming peripherals and accessories, and have been around since 2001, creating high-quality headsets, mice, keyboards, and gaming surfaces. Recently, their newly launched Arctis line looks to raise the bar for gaming headsets, with their revolutionary design, that brings the best out of function, comfort, and user-friendliness, while still allowing the owner to use it outside of gaming.

The Arctis headsets are equipped with 7.1 surround sound, and while they don't favor any particular end of the sound spectrum, like the highs, mid, or bass, instead they give a great quality all around listening experience, according to Engadget.

Another aspect of the SteelSeries Arctis line that stands out from other gaming headset brands, is it's superb built-in retractable microphone, called the SteelSeries ClearCast. While other headset lines will live with an okay quality microphone, SteelSeries decided to go the extra mile. Giving the Arctis a bidirectional mic, it allows the voices of the users to be captured more clearly, while ignoring the surrounding noises.

The Arctis line from SteelSeries will cost 80$ for the Arctis 3, $100 for the Arctis 5, and $150 for the Arctis 7. All of the models feature a ski-goggle style adjustment band for comfort adjustment, an auto-adjust hinged hanger design, the SteelSeries ClearCast microphone, on ear audio controls, Premium audio drivers, AirWeave ear cushions, and the SteelSeries Engine software for the ability to quickly change audio profiles, according to a report by Jeff Grubb of Venture Beat.

The designers of SteelSeries say that the Arctis is not a gaming headset, and instead, is a headset line for gamers. This makes it clear that their product reaches far beyond the gaming market, and has plenty to offer when used for other media, and not just for gaming.
