'Iron Man 4' Release Date, News & Update: Robert Downey Jr. Is Moving On From The Franchise; No More Fourth Instalment?

For Marvel fans who love Avengers, you would definitely agree that "Iron Man" is one of the popular and favorite superheroes in the group. Tony Stark has the confidence, the wisdom, and guts to do things on his own. Unfortunately, reports have it that Robert Downey Jr. the actor giving life to our favorite Avenger is already moving on from the "Iron Man" franchise, suggesting that there's no more "Iron Man 4."

For "Iron Man" fans, another film is necessary to wrap up Tony Stark's storyline. Yes, everyone would probably agree that "Iron Man 4" is essential to answer the questions we have in mind. Perhaps, to address the concerns about "Iron Man" and the Mandarin's conflict.

Unfortunately, Marvel has never confirmed "Iron Man 4." Earlier reports suggested that Robert Downey Jr. is demanding a pay hike. The actor is aware that he has huge contributions with the "Iron Man" franchise's success and we would agree to this. The film will not be any better without Downey Jr.

Several sources claim that a new actor will replace Robert Downey Jr. in "Iron Man 4" but the fans and production crews are not supportive. In fact, per Parent Herald, "Iron Man 3" director Jon Favreau stated that he can't imagine a different "Iron Man" other than Robert Downey Jr.

Joe Russo also added that if Robert Downey Jr. will turn down "Iron Man 4," it's better to have the franchise take a break until everyone will get over RDJ's influence in the film before making a reboot. Most, if not all, believe that Robert Downey Jr. is irreplaceable as the actor already personalized the characteristic of the genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist superhero.

However, per GameNGuide, Robert Downey Jr. is ready to move on from the franchise. Reports have it that the actor will be replaced or the character will be killed.
