‘Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ News & Updates: Combined File Size With ‘Modern Warfare Remastered’ Revealed

The total file size for the upcoming bundle of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" and "Modern Warfare Remastered" has been revealed, with both games totaling to around a whopping 130 GB in hard disk space.

The size of both "Modern Warfare Remastered" and "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" were revealed by a French retailer Micromania, as reported by "Call of Duty" fansite Charlie Intel and shared via IGN. "Modern Warfare Remastered" is the remastered version of the original hit 2007 game; with copies of "Modern Warfare Remastered" included in Legacy, Digital Deluxe, and Legacy Pro versions of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."

Because certain preorders of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will allow early access to "Modern Warfare Remastered" ahead of the Nov. 11 release date, Micromania began handing out empty boxes of "Infinite Warfare" with codes for "Modern Warfare Remastered" that will allow players to download the game now. The box revealed that by itself, "Modern Warfare Remastered" already has a filze size of 40 GB.

Meanwhile, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" has a file size of about 90 GB, which adds to the filze size for "Modern Warfare Remastered" to total 130 GB. Presumably, the massive file size is because of the overhauled visual designs for "Modern Warfare Remastered" alongside the capacity for 4K resolution to make use of the increased capabilities of the PS4 Pro.

As it seems that there is only one version of the bundle, at least for the PlayStation 4 platform, the file size for both "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" and "Modern Warfare Remastered" will be the same regardless of PlayStation 4 version. For other platforms, namely the Xbox One and the PC, the file size will likely be the same as well with no signs of Infinity Ward planning to differentiate the versions.

At the very least, those who pre-purchased the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" and "Modern Warfare Remastered" bundle on the PlayStation 4 may get downloading the latter's file size out of the way ahead of everyone else. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will release on Nov. 4.
