‘Z Nation’ Season 3 Spoilers: Murphy To Expand Blend Empire In ‘Escoprion And The Red Hand’

"Z Nation" season 3 is about to air its fourth episodes soon which will have Murphy continue the expansion of his planned nation of mind controlled Blends, meanwhile the remaining members of Operation Bitemark will encounter a new threat in "Escorpion and the Red Hand."

The title of the "Z Nation" season 3 episode, "Escorpion and the Red Hand," presumable references the 1977 Saturday children's live action series "The Red Hand Gang." Though it is unclear just what form the Red Hand version in the show will take, it will likely be of the standard zombie apocalypse fare of another band of sanity-challenged people.

In the sneak peek promotional trailer for the "Z Nation" season 3 episode released by SyFy on YouTube, "Escorpion and the Red Hand" will have Roberta (Kellita Smith) and the other remaining members of Operation Bitemark come across a bunch of zombies hanging by the underside of an overpass. The zombies all had their entrails ripped out with their intestines left hanging all the way to the ground with warnings written on one wall of the overpass, likely left there by the titular gang in "Escorpion and the Red Hand."

The characters noted that someone left the puppies and kittens there as a sign, with Escorpion (Emilio Rivera) nothing how the whole thing seemed like something he would do and that it might very well be a message. One possible scenario in the "Z Nation" season 3 episode, considering the "thieves" painted on the wall, is that the zombies were the remains of humans caught trying to steal from the Red Hand gang and so were executed and made into examples.

Meanwhile, the "Escorpion and the Red Hand" updates shared on Spoiler TV touches on Murphy's side of the "Z Nation" Season 3 episode's story. The "Z Nation" season 3 episode will have Murphy beginning the expansion of his Blend community in full force in "Escorpion and the Red Hand," with throngs of people apparently lining up to receive his infection.

10K (Nat Zang) will continue his seemingly futile attempts to resist Murphy in "Escorpion and the Red Gang," with an apparent confrontation between 10K and Murphy apparently set for the "Z Nation" season 3 episode. This will continue the subplot of 10K having to follow Murphy due to the latter infecting him in secret around the time of the proper "Z Nation" season 3 premiere.

"Escorpion and the Red Hand" looks set to further expand the "Z Nation" season 3 storyline of Murphy's Blend empire while the others keep getting embroiled in conflicts littering their paths towards Murphy. "Z Nation" season 3 episode 4 "Escorpion and the Red Hand" will air Friday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. ET on Syfy.
