Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield Engaged: ‘Spider-Man’ Couple Did Not Break Up Over Ryan Gosling?

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were recently seen out in public months after the couple has allegedly called it quits. While their recent outing stirred speculations of a reunion between the "Amazing Spider-Man" couple, reports suggest that the two stars never really broke up and may even be engaged.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are fuelling up engagement rumors after they were recently seen out in public. It can be recalled that there were reports that the couple broke up in 2015 because they have been spending a lot of time apart while filming their respective projects.

However, neither Stone nor Garfield confirmed or denied the alleged breakup. This led to speculations that the couple never broke up with each other and they were simply keeping their relationship hidden from the public.

There are even reports that Stone and Garfield are already engaged. However, an insider told People that Stone and Garfield's recent outing in London was merely platonic and nothing romantic.

"They're definitely not dating," the source said.

Rumor has it that Stone's "La La Land" co-star Ryan Gosling was the reason behind the split. Many fans, however, believe that the dating rumors between Stone and Gosling were a part of a marketing strategy to promote their movie and nothing more.

Gosling also spoke to Entertainment Tonight about his daughters with Eva Mendes. According to Gosling, his daughters, Esmeralda and Amada are "angels" and because of them, he is having "the happiest time" of his life.

This slams rumors that Gosling was the reason behind the alleged split between Stone and Garfield. It remains to be seen, however, whether or not Stone and Garfield are back together, engaged, or just friends.
