Blake Griffin could be parting ways with Los Angeles Clippers anytime soon if the NBA trade rumors are true. The Clippers' power forward is becoming a regular in the NBA trade rumor mills and the latest buzz suggests that he will be joining Carmelo Anthony in New York Knicks in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis.

The LA Clippers organization already stated that they have no plans in trading Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, two of their key players. However, both could be a free agent soon. Griffin, for instance, has an early termination option after the 2016-17 NBA season.

If Blake Griffin would opt out from LA Clippers, it would be better for the team to trade the player than lose him in the free market. OKC Thunder experienced this pain after losing Kevin Durant to Golden State Warriors when the seven-time NBA All-Star decided not to re-sign with Thunder.

According to Sports Rageous, Blake Griffin would complete the power trio at the Big Apple. If Griffin decides to head to New York, Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose are waiting to play alongside him this NBA season.

However, Blake Griffin could cost New York Knicks some of their players. The veteran's trade value is higher than Kristaps Porzingis alone. So if Knicks and Clippers would push this trade, the former will have to send an additional player.

The report suggests that if New York Knicks is desperate to acquire Blake Griffin, they could send Joakim Noah alongside Kristaps Porzingis. However, not everyone is sold on this trade because many think that Porzingis is a superstar in the making.
