Tesla Model X 60D Replaced By 75D? Owning A Tesla Has Become More Expensive?

This may come as a bad news for buyers specifically interested to invest on having a Tesla. Just recently, Tesla has decided to remove their entry level "Model X 60D" from their current line up.

This is according to news shared by Engadget on a recent post. This will set a buyer back $11,500 US for buying the next in line model which is 75D.

It is known that being available on the market for barely 3 months, the "Model X 60D" didn't do well. Serious Tesla buyers have considered purchasing the 75D over 60D because of it is far better upgraded version. Having $11,500 US as setback for getting the 75D model has not been so much of an issue for Tesla fanatics and buyers.

This decision of Tesla is more likely to affect first time buyers who are keen on having the brand and not so much on what the Model X 60D has. When such model was still available in the market, it retailed at around $74,000 US which is considered to be a good deal for a luxury brand.

According to Teslarati, the decision is also to streamline Tesla's production. In connection with this move, Tesla have replaced coil spring suspension to Smart Air Suspension which is a characteristic feature of a Model X. Tesla has also decided to lessen options being made and offered in their fleet but still ensuring the components are multifunctional and cross functional. This decision is said to continue to maximize production efficiency.

Most of the would be buyers of a Tesla "Model X 60D" will have to save up more to afford the 75D which is now considered the entry level available in the market. Enjoying the Falcon wings which automatically make heads turn and eyes glued will have to wait. Tesla has yet again proved that bragging rights definitely come with a hefty price.
