‘Shadowhunters' Season 2 Premiere Date, News Update: Paul Wesley Joining Freeform Series? More Betrayals Waiting For Jace, Clary?

"Shadowhunters" Season 2 is getting help from "The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore), who is set to direct for the darker S2. Fans of the Freeform series, who thought "Shadowhunters" Season 1 was problematic for Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara) and Jace Wayland (Dominic Sherwood), will realize that S1 was a vacation compared to S2.

For starters "Shadowhunters: Mortal Instruments" Season 1 finale, "Morning Star" ended with Valentine Morgenstern (Alan Van Sprang) and The Circle closing ranks on series leads Clary Fray and Jace Wayland. "Shadowhunters" Season 1 finale was especially difficult for Jace Wayland.
