Apple's latest iPhone- the iPhone 7 model long been criticized since the day of its launch. The model which was released in early September, this year, came under the eye of critics for several reasons with the most significant one being the absence of a headphone jack.

A month after the release of the model, it is again under scrutiny for being slower than its predecessors. According to benchmark and real-life tests performed by GSM Arena, the 32 GB iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 plus is worse than the 128 GB iPhone 7 and 64GB iPhone 6S plus versions in terms of reading and writing speeds. Tested in Base mark OS II, the 32GB iPhone 7 Plus scored over 800 points while other iPhones reached 1300-1700 points on the same test.

In another test conducted by the site, the speed with which the iPhone reads large video files and writes a new video file half the measure of the original file was measured. A 10-minute 4k video was recorded with the iPhone and subsequently trimmed into exactly half by using the built-in trim feature. The results indicate that the 128GB iPhone 7 plus is three times faster than the 32GB iPhone 7 Plus.

The reason for this difference in performance can be attributed to the type of storage that is used by Apple for the 32GB version phone. Reports by Yahoo indicate that the difference will not be visible to a person who has not used multiple models of the iPhone and can be considered minor. However, based on the overall experience reported by users, it can be concluded that the iPhone 6S Plus has by far been the best version of the much-acclaimed phone.

So if you have been having a hard time getting your hands on Apple's latest iPhone you might want to reconsider your decision!
