Maroon 5 Features Kendrick Lamar In New Single 'Don't Wanna Know'

Maroon 5 grabs the spotlight in the international music industry once again. They are now back with their latest single "Don't Wanna Know" featuring one of the rappers the pop music aficionados look up to, Kendrick Lamar.

In a report by MTV, Adam Levine might be busy parenting and working as one of the panel of judges of The Voice. But here, Levine looked back where he started and manage to drop a comeback single with his longtime band, Maroon 5.

Maroon 5 has given the music enthusiasts a decade of pop frenzy. The group is the brainchild behind the likes of "She Will Be Loved," "Maps," "Won't Go Home Without You," Sunday Morning," and the infamous "Animals" with whom he shared the steamy music video scenes with Victoria's Secret model and now his wife, Behati Prinsloo.

On the other hand, Kendrick Lamar is the genius behind the songs "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe," "Swimming Pools," "Poetic Justice" and "Money Trees." The collaboration between Maroon 5 and Lamar should be really unexpected for the music biz, their genres are two worlds apart.

Listening to "Don't Wanna Know," it's a different version of Maroon 5. According to MTV, it has likened the latest single of Maroon 5 to Major Lazer's Marimba. The air pops, fast tempo, and electronic mix of beats is not-so Maroon 5.

News reported that they are set to drop "Don't Wanna Know" official music video on NBC today, Oct. 14 and will be featured in The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform the song on Nov. 3.
