'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date PS4 Xbox One Sneak Peek Hinted By Tetsuya Nomura; Sora's Development Illustrated

The wait for the "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date confirmation could prove to be a grueling wait for many expectant fans. Since Square Enix has previously claimed that there will be no significant updates to be disclosed for the upcoming title, online reports have slowly turned to speculations and theories on what the new game could offer.

It was previously hinted by series creator and director Testuya Nomura that the new title will have a significant connection to the unreleased "Kingdom Hearts 2.8." Nomura also claimed that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be a massive release and brushing up on the previous KH titles could be very helpful in having a firmer grasp of the new game's storyline.

In fact, Nomura recently shared that the the box art for "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix," "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix" and "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" all have subtle clues about "Kingdom Hearts 3" when pieced together. As IGN noted, the illustrations subtly depict Sora's development throughout the franchise, and it also suggests what can be expected in the final chapter.

Meanwhile, some of the previous "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date updates are confirming that the new title will be made available on the Sony PS4 and Xbox One. Predictions are rife that the earliest launch for the KH3 could be in 2017, however, many fans are claiming that a 2018 release date could be more feasible.

While still unconfirmed, a previous report also speculated that an episodic release could be underway due to "Kingdom Hearts 3" game's massive size. However, Gamepur disproved the rumors by claiming that Nomura still has to decide to go that route as it might affect the fans' anticipation and excitement for the title.
