Huawei Honor 6X Release Date, Specs, Update: Oct. 18 Launch Date Confirmed; Device Will Arrive With Specs Similar To Huawei P9?

Huawei has reportedly started sending invitations for the upcoming launch event of Huawei Honor 6X that will be held in China. The new Huawei device is expected to arrive on Oct. 18.

Huawei Honor 6X seems to fall into the mid-range level of smartphones based on the leaks gathered when the device passed China's TENAA in September. Huawei has not confirmed the specs of its Honor 6X since then. However, with the upcoming Huawei official launch next week, fans will be able to learn more specs of the device.

Based on the leaked specs of Huawei Honor 6X last month, the device is speculated to equip a 5.5-inch display screen with full HD 1920×1080p resolution, Android Authority reported. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor is suggested to power the device that will come with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to have 32GB internal storage capacity and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Huawei Honor 6X is also expected to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds, FitNHit reported. As for the cameras, latest rumors suggest that it will sport a 12MP dual camera setup which was reportedly developed with Leica. The same camera setup was seen initially on the recently released Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus handsets.

The front facing camera of the Huawei Honor 6X, on the other hand, is expected to be at 5MP with wide-angle lens. The smartphone is said to equip a USB Type-C port and will come with dual-SIM and 4G LTE Network support. The Honor 6X is also suggested to be packed with a 3,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
