NASCAR race car driver Denny Hamlin is a new dad.
The 32-year-old took to his Twitter account to announce the arrival of his first child with girlfriend, former Charlotte Bobcats dancer Jordan Fish. The proud couple has named their daughter Taylor James Hamlin.
"Introducing Taylor James Hamlin!!! Born Jan 20 at 20:20! Weighting 6lb 5oz and 20 inches in length," Hamlin wrote, after posting an adorable photo of the newborn.
Fans and well-wishers of the race car star father welcomed the news and offered their support and love.
"Congrats yo... Welcome to the club... Where we now do not trust all males around their age," one of the comments read, while another one added, "congrats bud she is beautiful!!"
Hamlin, who announced his partner's pregnancy in August, is planning to follow his parent's footsteps to grow a healthy relationship with his daughter and to bring her up in a healthy way. The new dad is also excited to welcome his daughter in January, an off season in NASCAR.
"My family has done a lot for me to get to this point obviously, and just all of the sacrifices and all that they've gone through," Hamlin told Examiner.com . "My dad tells me all of the time that some of the best times he had is just carrying me around in his pickup truck every day taking me to work with him and things like that. It's going to be a great experience and so I'm really excited about it and really just excited to be a part of it. For my parents to have grandkids is all going to be good. Everything works great, things happen and we're excited about the timing."
