Valve And Samsung Partners: Steam Link Will Be The Newest Feature For Samsung Televisions

Valve's Steam Link is the smallest and cheapest PC games streaming device in the market right now. This tiny product is so far the best in streaming PC games over a wireless or wired network and it seems to coming into the world of televisions.

With the size of just about the same like with the deck of cards and a price of $50 plus of course an HDMI cable to connect it into, getting it inside a pricey television set might not be worth it. But despite the skepticisms on the collaboration of Valve's Steam Link and Samsung TVs, this new feature may attract PC gamers who are searching for the latest TV model.

Earlier this week, it was announced during the Steam Dev Days that Valve and Samsung had partnered to have the Steam Link integrated in Samsung Televisions, according to PC World. This collaboration would simply mean that it would be much easier for game maniacs to view their favorite PC games on their televisions.

One thing, however, remains unclear - whether all the functions of the Steam Link be integrated into Samsung's television in the future? If yes, then good for gaming addicts since they can just connect a non-Steam Controllers via USB. If not, then gamers need to purchase one of Valve's official controllers, as reported by Tech Spot.

With Valve's Steam Link technology integrated inside the Samsung TV's, the gamers still need to have a powerful PC to run games, Trusted Reviews reports. Also, they need to have the Steam Controllers.

The only downfall that people are looking into about the Valve's Steam Link, is the performance. The quality reportedly isn't always that good, not to mention the fact that it all depends on the set-up and how fast the internet connection is at home.

Meanwhile, the release date for the Valve's Steam Link equipped Samsung TV is yet to be determined but tech gadgets enthusiasts will be surely and excitedly wait for its release in the market. Samsung also did not give out any further details on which television will be equipped with this Valve Steam Link.
