Apple Watch Nike+ Edition Release Date, News & Update: Mark October 28 For Its Official Release! Specs & Details Inside [Video]

Apple has recently announced that they will release the latest Nike + edition of the Apple Watch Series 2 on October 28, 2016. This exciting news for both stylish and athletic users alike.

According to Deccan Chronicle, the introduction of Apple Watch Nike+ Edition coincided with Apple's latest flagship phone, the iPhone 7. The Apple Watch Nike+ Edition is in partnership with Nike for using their software developed for runners including Nike+ Run Club app.

The Apple Watch Nike+ Edition is water-resistant to 50 meters in water and also has built-in GPS Tracker. The Apple Watch Series 2 comes in four colors (Black/Volt, Black/Cool Gray, Flat Silver/Volt and Flat Silver/White bands) and is available with price tag of $369 US in the 38mm size and $499 US for the 42mm size.

In a post recently shared by 9 to 5 Mac, Apple Watch Nike+ Edition features two unique features showcasing Nike's signature font and Volt color available in either digital and analog versions. A user can also customize both Nike watch faces including the time appearance easily.

Nike Sport Band is unique take on Apple's band because it has compression-molded perforations that which gives additional ventilation during strenuous activities and is also considerably lighter. The additional perforations have additional benefit as it is more customizable in terms of changing the size as well.

While the official release is on October 28, 2016 there are known cases that the Apple Watch Nike+ Edition can be tried. There are also a number of usage or features of Apple Watch Series 2 that are yet to be confirmed until its official release date by the end of October.

It has also not been made clear if the Nike Sport Bands will be sold separately but it seems that it won't be the case for now. Apple Watch bands are interchangeable on Nike+ models just like the other models.
