Samsung Chromebook Pro Leaks & News: Oct. 24 Launch Date Confirmed; Specs, Price Points Inside

Samsung has reportedly leaked an image of the Chromebook Pro dubbed as Kevin through the listings on Adorama and B&H. The said listings were apparently taken down but some users were able to take a screenshot of the listing that gave out some important information about Samsung Chromebook Pro.

Samsung Chromebook Pro was first spotted by a blogger from ChromeUnboxed that revealed the price point and release date of the device. According to the blog, Samsung Chromebook Pro will sell at $499 while it will be available for purchase on Oct. 24.

The speculated release date of Samsung Chromebook Pro is just a week from now but Samsung has not confirmed the launch of the device yet. Could this mean that Samsung Chromebook Pro's unveiling will be delayed? Is this the same reason why the listing was taken down?

Meanwhile, Chromebook users seem to have been hyped by the launch of Samsung's Chromebook Pro as it seems that the laptop is packed with premium specifications at a lower price. Samsung Chromebook Pro is speculated to be designed with an all-metal body that is only 13.9mm thick and weighs 1.08kg according to XDA Developers. Rumor has it that Samsung Chromebook Pro will also sport a 12.3-inch touchscreen with 2400x1600 resolution that can be rotated into 360 degrees.

Samsung's new laptop is expected to come with a stylus that can be stored in the laptop. As for its hardware, previous reports claimed that Samsung Chromebook Pro will be integrated will 32GB of storage capacity that comes with 4GB of RAM. The new Chromebook Pro from Samsung is also suggested to be powered by 2GHz hexa-core Rockchip processor that comes with 2x Cortex-A72 and 4x Cortex-A53 cores.

Samsung Chromebook Pro also contains an SD card slot and USB Type-C ports similar to other laptops. It is suggested to run on Chrome operating system and reportedly promises 10 hours of battery life.
