Without categorically saying that Nina Dobrev should not return to "The Vampire Diaries," Ian Somerhalder highlighted in a Capital FM interview that Elena Gilbert should stay away from Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon Salvatore. According to Ian Somerhalder, the reunion planned for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 where Nina Dobrev returns for a romantic finale is anything but fair for Elena Gilbert.

Interestingly Nina Dobrev took to Twitter recently and commented about happy endings on a post about not caring. One wonders if NIna Dobrev is being affected by controversies linking her to Ian Somerhalder and NIkki Reed over "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale.
