Ellen DeGeneres, Portia De Rossi Facing $220 Million Divorce: ‘Finding Dory’ Star Tries To Save Marriage Through Adoption?

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi recently celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary, but it looks like the couple is on the brink of getting a divorce. A recent report suggests that the "Finding Dory" star is trying to save herself from a $220 million divorce through adoption.

Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres has been reportedly fighting nonstop over their conflicting views on family. A source told the National Enquirer that the 58-year-old talk show host refuses to start her own family with de Rossi and she also does not want kids inside their home.

De Rossi, on the other hand, has always wanted to have her own kids. This conflicting view on having their own family has allegedly led to talks of divorce, which might cost the "Ellen Show" host a whopping $220 million.

In order to avoid paying this hefty amount for divorce, DeGeneres has reportedly succumbed to de Rossi's wishes and is considering adoption. The insider told the publication that DeGeneres hopes to put a stop to de Rossi's jealousy and unhealthy lifestyle practices through this method.

However, Gossip Cop refuted the aforementioned report and said that DeGeneres and de Rossi are not fighting over having a baby. The couple has previously made it clear that they do not have any plans to have a child since they are public figures.

Rumors about DeGeneres and de Rossi's baby plans may have begun following the former's statement on her show, "The Ellen Show." As Closer Weekly reports, DeGeneres announced that she is pregnant as part of her opening monologue for the show.

During the episode, DeGeneres explained that she has been having a bad case of stomach ache for days and she consulted the Internet for a diagnosis. All of her signs and symptoms were pointing to pregnancy, which explains the reason for her joke. As it turns out though, DeGeneres was suffering from ulcer.
