Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck Divorce: Mom is Back to Work on 'Miracles From Heaven" & Ben Affleck Reportedly 'Distraught'?

Even after announcing their mutual decision to put an end to their marriage, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner continue to show that the priority for the two of them at the moment is the welfare of their three children. Amid the media uproar following the announcement of their intention to get a divorce, the couple along with their kids, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, flew to the Bahamas to enjoy a well-deserved break, according to People.

As both Garner and Affleck are back in the United States, the two now attempt to resume with their lives and weather the aftermath of their announcement. According to E Online, the mother of three chose to deal with the separation by plunging back to work as she was spotted in the set of "Miracles From Heaven" in Atlanta on Sunday. The 43-year-old actress was reportedly seen still wearing her wedding ring as she worked her way to the Georgia-based set to work on the said film, which is slated for an Easter release in 2016.

Although the vacation with soon-to-be-ex-husband Affleck could not have been any more awkward, close friends of the couple disclosed that the two intend to do everything to ensure that their children will be well-adjusted before finalizing their divorce. "The family felt it was important to be together and they were together," revealed a source in a separate People report. The insider added, "The family is united and, no matter what, will protect the kids." The source also said that the two have always been "great parents together but they were not always on the same page," continuing to say that the past several months had been "challenging" for the couple.

As Garner gears up for her next project and tries her best to look calm and collect despite the recent turmoil in her family life, Affleck appears to not be doing so well. "Ben is distraught over the divorce and is having a very hard time," shared an insider with Us Weekly. The source went on to say, "He doesn't have a lot of close friends to lean on right now, and Jennifer has always been the one he goes to."

"Miracles From Heaven" is based on the novel by Christy Beam, according to Variety. A faith-based film, the movie will tell the story of a young girl inflicted with a rare digestive disorder. While she tries to hurdle this obstacle, her illness is miraculously cured following a fatal accident.
