'The Winds of Winter' Release Date & Update: Sixth 'ASOIAF' Further Delayed; GRRM Lost Manuscript?

Millions of "ASOIAF" readers and fans are dying to get a copy of its sixth book, "The Winds of Winter." However, George RR Martin remains mum about "TWOW's" release date saying that he will announce it when the book is ready.

Well, it seems that the announcement will be pushed back because the "ASOIAF" scribe George RR Martin reportedly lost his manuscript for "The Winds of Winter," The Christian Times reported. Some new outlet picked up this "TWOW" reports but other find this absurd. How can GRRM just lose the manuscript of "The Winds of Winter," the most anticipated book at the time?

One site explained that the "The Winds of Winter" scribe could be using an old-fashioned way in saving his work. However, other explained that while the New Mexican author is old-fashion he actually uses a DOS word processor to automatically save his "TWOW" progress to a remote server.

This report only intensifies the claims that George RR Martin is quitting "A Song of Ice and Fire." Fans have been expressing their concern about the fate of "The Winds of Winter" and "A Dream of Spring." GRRM is not getting any younger and many fear that the "ASOIAF" writer will pass away without giving his fans the closure of the epic story he started.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that "ASOIAF" fans are planning to boycott HBO's popular series "Game of Thrones." The epic fantasy drama TV series that dominated the recent Emmy Awards ceremony is set to air its last season, which made "TWOW" fans more anxious about the release date of "The Winds of Winter."
