Macbook New Laptops To Be Unveiled At The Apple Event Next Week?

With the Oct. 27 Apple event around the corner, people cannot stop speculating about what they can expect at the much-awaited event. Rumours suggest that there are a new MacBook Pro laptops in line this year.

The device is expected to undergo a lot of changes in the latest version. It will be arriving with a thinner, lighter design that features a secondary touchscreen called the OLED touch bar at the top of the keyboard. Reports by CNET indicate that the tiny screen will be replacing the function key arrow and it shall provide context-based commands.

It is expected that there will be minor changes to the MacBook Air version. Apple's products are known to maintain the same consistency in performance and aesthetics. The pace of design innovation has rather been slow thereby causing more excitement to see if the upcoming range of products brings in variety into the market.

Digital Trends have speculated that the new MacBook Pro will refine its array of ports, with no MagSafe for charging, no traditional USB ports and no Thunderbolt 2 connection. Instead, the new device will only feature a support for the connections made via USB Type-C and Thunderbolt-3.

Also, history indicates that each time Apple unveils a new MacBook Pro, one of the older versions of laptops will be returned. With this year's Apple event, it is rumored that the 11-inch MacBook Air will be discontinued due to its close proximity to 12-inch Macbook.

Reports by Apple Insider suggest that there will be an addition of a Touch ID to the Mac for the first time. A fingerprint sensor integration would enable more secure user logins and also authorize the transactions through Apple Pay Services in apps.

The Apple event, named "Hello Again," will be held at Apple's corporate headquarters at 1 infinite loop at Cupertino, California.
