"Rick and Morty" Season 3 return date is confirmed to be this December 2016. This is months earlier than the expected premiere of the new season of the Adult Swim series, as Mr. Poopybutthole said during the closing credits of the season 2 finale that the show will return a year and a half later.

According to Inverse, the show's writers, Sarah Carbiener and Erica Rosbe confirmed the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 premiere during the "Chicks Who Script" podcast. This made a lot of fans and viewers excited for what seems to be a Christmas treat from Adult Swim.

"Rick and Morty" Season 3 spoilers also note on the possibility that Krombopulos Michael is still alive despite being crushed by Rick's spaceship. According to theories, Michael may be a prison guard where Rick was imprisoned.

While that one remains to be confirmed, many fans are already beginning to speculate on a possible "Rick and Morty" Season 3 crossover with "Doctor Strange." According to Entertainment Weekly, the latter's producer, Kevin Feige, confirmed that they sought the help of series creator Dan Harmon for the movie.

Feige admitted that he has always been a fan of Harmon's projects, including "Rick and Morty" Season 3. Feige said that they let Harmon watch the "Doctor Strange" movie in order to seek for his opinions about the sci-fi aspects of the film.
