JLo Masters Co-Parenting With Marc Anthony

It is hard to imagine Jennifer Lopez in a less glamorous light as this glittering star has made a name for herself as a fashion icon, multi-talented performer and movie star. Well, we never have to imagine her that way anyway. She might be belting out her hit song "Ain't Your Momma" but in real life, she is one momma anyone will surely admire.

In an interview with MTV News way back, JLo couldn't emphasize enough how she prioritizes being a mother.  "(Being a) mommy is just the one thing you don't want to mess up. You can mess up in all other areas and get back up, but you don't want to mess up there. They make me feel better every single day. It's my first job- to make sure that's okay or else I couldn't do all the other things I do."

JLo surely masters the art of being a hands-on mom and co-parent with ex Marc Anthony. She is seen on social media for being a little playful on videos, using cute Snapchat filters with her kids Max and Emme during her free time. Just like any other moms, JLo tells bedtime stories to her kids. She and her 8-year-old twins were even in their adorable pajamas too in one post, only they're doing it aboard an airplane 35,000 feet high. Definitely not your typical mom.

Juggling her acting stints and music career, one can easily say JLo's schedule is truly jam-packed. She currently stars in two NBC shows "Shades of Blue" and "World of Dance" and performs in her Vegas residency "All I Have". But more than anything, she champs at co-parenting and maintaining friendship with ex Marc Anthony. Just recently, the amicable exes even shared the stage performing their hit song "No Me Ames" at Marc's Radio City concert in New York in August this year, a delight for their twins who watched among the audience.

"When we sing together, when they see us together, knowing our history, it brings a certain nostalgia. They know we care about each other and still love each other. We have two kids together and they love to see that things are good between us. It was awesome. They just sat there and they were hearing the crowd. It's so moving. It was great," explained JLo in Extra.

They called it quits in 2014 after almost a decade of marriage. Marc later on married Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima. They are all friendly along with on-and-off boyfriend of JLo, choreographer Casper Smart.

"I feel it's my responsibility as a mom when their dad is not there to let them know that their dad loves them very much because that's the doubt that they have when he's not around or they haven't seen him. That's my job to do that the same way it's his job when he's with them to say 'Mommy is working and she loves you,'" JLo told the Huffington Post.

Indeed, choosing to set aside differences with her ex is JLo's proudest act these days. In an interview with People recently, she noted, "One day, your children are gonna be adults, they're gonna see things in a different way, than when they were kids. And it is going to be hard to watch them grow up, and what I wanna do with my own kids is like, do stuff that they will be proud of. You want your kids to be proud of you. That was a big epiphany for me having children. They just made everything better. They helped me grow as a human being."
