NBA Superstar Shaquille O'Neal Is The New Owner and Global Spokesperson of Krispy Kreme

NBA legend and hall of famer, Shaquille O'neal has embarked a new business venture as his love for donuts made him a proud owner of a Krispy Kreme store in downtown Atlanta.

It is safe to say that one of the most dominant big men in the NBA, Shaq, is not just all about basketball, but is also going all-in as a businessman of his own. With him owning a store, the giant will be the global spokesperson for the brand as well.

According to news posted in Fortune.com, the Krispy Kreme store that Shaq bought is located at Ponce De Leon Avenue. This is considered historical, as the donut shop has been around the said location for more than 60 years.

Shaq has been known as one of the funniest players in the NBA. Despite being huge, O'Neal's humor, love and laughter are considered to be one of the best players to play with. With this, he has a reason why he is proud and excited that he has chosen to become a part of the Krispy Kreme family.

In the same article, he said, "Krispy Kreme prides itself on spreading joy and supporting local communities..." He adds, "That's a cause that I am thrilled to be a part of."

With Shaq's big takeover as an owner, the donut company will offer a social media campaign this Halloween called "Shaq-or-Treat." The promotional campaign will give customers a chance to win Shaq-autographed merchandise or some "Krispy Kreme surprises" if they post on social media with the hashtag #ShaqOrTreat between October 28-31, as said on the same website.

Shaq has branded himself as a sports and entertainment icon and now also in business. His passion for spreading joy has given him an edge as an owner of one of the best donut chains in the US. No less than the president and CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Tony Thompson has expressed his excitement about this. In his speech, "We are confident this partnership will have a big impact for us in Atlanta and around the world."
