'The Originals' Season 4 Spoilers, Speculations: 'The Vampire Diaries' Crossover Possible in 2017?

Fans of the show "The Originals" have been anticipating the events that will be happening on the show's 4th season. "The Originals" Season 4 will happen in the first quarter of 2017 and the new season has some surprises for its loyal viewers.

Season 4 will feature a five-year jump in the timeline, as shown a video that was previewed in the recent San Diego Comic-Con. The cast of "The Originals," mainly Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Joseph Morgan, Charles Michael Davis, Riley Voelkel and Yusuf Gatewood, were accompanied by the show's executive producers to show the 4-minute trailer which details the history of the Mikaelsons and ends with Hope, daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley, now grown-up.

Fans may assume that Hope has grown up to be powerful, and may even play a part in the rescue of her father, Klaus. There are also speculations that Caroline Forbes from "The Vampire Diaries", who once had a romance with Klaus, may travel to the Big Easy and rescue Klaus herself.

Also coming on the season 4 of "The Originals" is a new villain. No name has been given yet, but according to TV Guide, a vampire with sadistic tendencies is coming to New Orleans to kill Klaus, who has been in a coma for the past 5 years due to the Tunde blade. The new baddie will be taking revenge on Klaus due to a grudge that has spanned centuries.

Hayley, meanwhile, according to executive producer Michael Narducci, will play an important role in saving the lives of "The Originals" who are currently in sleep. He said that Hayley will need to explore her werewolf side because she needs to find the seven werewolf packs to save everyone. It will be a difficult journey for Hayley, but with everything that she has gone through in the show, she will do everything to make sure that the people she cares about will be saved.

Fans may still need to wait for a few more months before we see "The Originals" Season 4, but for sure it will be worth the wait.
