Audrey Hepburn’s Newest Memorabilia Book 'Audrey: The 50s' Is Now Here

No one had ever represented the elegance and timelessness of the Golden Hollywood era more than Audrey Hepburn. Her unrivaled beauty and classic films are still well-reveled to this day, as many honors and praises are still dedicated to her name.

Loyal fans can expect another lovely treat as another memorabilia of Audrey has been on the market since Oct. 25. HarperCollins UK, one of the world's foremost book publishers with a heritage stretching back nearly 200 years, has just announced on its website the availability of the new book called "Audrey: The 50s" in the market.

Devoted to her most influential decade, this book is a beautiful photographic compilation of Audrey's most remarkable decade in her career: the 1950s. It was in the '50s that Audrey's place in the modern fashion history and film industry worldwide had been truly solidified, and this book showcases some of the never-before-seen photos of Hepburn from that decade.

"Audrey: The 50s" exudes the magic of Audrey's ethereal charm and unrivalled elegance as rare and old images were digitally restored from transparencies, original studio negatives and vintage photographic prints. The photographs were taken in the early days of her career, which documented her moments on the sets of her well-celebrated films such as "Roman Holiday," "Funny Face and Sabrina," "Love in the Afternoon" and "The Nun's Story," to name a few. It also features photos from fashion pictorials, which preserve the essence of her effortless style and waifish looks. Some never-before-published "candid poses" of Audrey at her home are also showcased in this book. Every page is a dedication to her refined loveliness as beautifully restored magazine layouts, international film posters, lobby cards and advertisements are gathered in this compilation too.

Her contributions in the worlds of fashion, beauty and cinema are memorialized in this book too. Quotes from photographers, directors and co-stars are also included in this memorabilia. These include Hubert de Givenchy, Richard Avedon, Cecil Beaton, William Holden, Gregory Peck, Fred Astaire, Billy Wilder, King Vidor, William Wyler and Edith Head.

Truly made for a once-in-a-lifetime collection of Audrey Hepburn's memorabilia, "Audrey: The 50s" also printed some of the rare quotes from Audrey herself.

The book is authored by Australian-born David Wills, an independent curator and photographic preservationist who has accrued one of the largest independent archives of original photographs, negatives and transparencies. He has contributed materials to many publications and museums such as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art and the Phoenix Art Museum. Wills also had a number of exhibitions that are well-reviewed and majorly profiled by the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, Vanity Fair, Vogue and Time, to name a few.

This collection-worthy compilation displays Audrey at her brightest and brings her legacy into perfect focus. "Audrey: The 50s" is available for purchase beginning Oct. 25, 2016.
