Baby Overjoyed After Glasses Allow Her to See Clearly [Watch Video]

Who would have thought? A short video of a cute baby wearing a pair of pink glasses, seeing for the very first time has taken the world wide web by storm. It seems that the adorable smile of an overjoyed baby did not only capture her parents' heart but also the rest of the world's.

Last month, a video clip of 10-month-old Baby Piper was uploaded on Facebook under Jessica Sinclair's (child's mother) account and became an internet sensation. Currently, it is one of the most viewed videos online.

"Picked up her glasses. Went out to eat and put them on her. Her reaction melts my heart," Jessica Sinclair wrote in the video caption. Baby Piper is seen sitting on a chair while her parents put the pink glasses on her head.

Her parents' voice are heard in the video saying "Hi Piper," and the baby gives off a heartwarming, giant, infectious smile after seeing her parents clearly for the first time.

The post was flooded with comments from Jessica's Facebook friends. It has over 18 million views on Facebook and is a certified viral video on the internet today.

Baby Piper's Eye Condition

"We started to notice that she was having issues reaching her milestone of crawling. So at her regular pediatric check they did an eye screening and saw that she might have had a slight astigmatism," Jessica Sinclair shared to WKRC Cincinnati.

The mother then decided to have her baby's eyes checked without any hesitation. Baby Piper's eye exam shows that she is farsighted and according to KRC'S report, the prescribed specs was +9.00 in one eye and +7.00 in the other.

"A week later we picked up the glasses and she tried them on for a quick second in the office to make sure they fitted properly, and then we decided to go out to eat ... and then this was her reaction of her first time being able to see our faces," Jessica said.

Jessica added that she hopes Baby Piper's viral moment would encourage the million viewers around the globe to see the importance of eye health at a young age.
