NBA News: Washington Wizards' John Wall To Be Traded To Boston Celtics? Rubio Going To Washington?

The latest NBA trade rumor stipulates that the Boston Celtics, the Washington Wizards, and the Minnesota Timberwolves are still looking to acquire players with superstar potential to upgrade their rosters. The players rumored to be involved in the three-way trade are Isaiah Thomas, John Wall, and Ricky Rubio.

According to Sportsrageous, the Celtics will get Wall, the Wizards will acquire Rubio, and the Timberwolves are expected to receive Thomas. Reports claim that Wall is expected to supply the Celtics with exceptional offensive and defensive expertise. Wall is also expected to team up with small forward Jaylen Brown, and center Al Horford to produce high scores on the board.

12UP's Jonathan Reisman believes that although the Celtics have good guard depth, they could make room for Wall with his spectacular talent on both sides of the court. If the trade will carry one, Reisman says fans should expect a "king's ransom" for the Wizards.

For the Wizards, acquiring Rubio will reportedly address their offensive woes. If so is the case, Rubio could help the Wizards deliver tough competition to the league.

In the case of the Timberwolves, obtaining the service of Thomas would allegedly enable them to focus on improving young talents such as Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins, and Kris Dunn. However, there are rumors claiming that the Timberwolves are thinking twice about letting go of Rubio.

According to previous reports, Rubio has been receiving less attention from Timberwolves head coach, Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau reportedly wants to focus more on the younger players for this season. Rubio has earlier expressed his wish to play in the postseason and ultimately win the title. Rubio has been involved in numerous trade rumors in the past.

Although highly unlikely, if the tree-team trade comes to being, the teams involved will certainly experience a change in dynamics.
