Kate Beckinsale Divorce Confirmed! Actress and Director-Husband Len Wiseman Split After 12 Years

Say goodbye to another Hollywood couple.  Kate Beckinsale divorce from husband, director Len Wiseman after 12 years of marriage.

A year ago, Kate Beckinsale and husband, Len Wiseman announced their separation. Eleven months later, "Underworld" director and producer Len Wiseman files for divorce to make the split official. In documents obtained by TMZ, it cited irreconcilable differences as the cause for the divorce. The documents also stated that spousal support was waived suggesting a prenuptial agreement was signed.

Speculations aroused regarding the Kate Beckinsale divorce when soon-to-be ex-husband Len Wiseman was seen at a club without his wedding ring. Len Wiseman was also with a 24-year old model then.

Meanwhile, Kate Beckinsale was away in Prague to film the latest "Underworld" film. The actress was then seen not wearing her wedding ring during a night out with friends in London.

Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman first met while the two worked on the film "Underworld" in 2003. The two married a year later. Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman have no children together.

Although the split is amicable, the Kate Beckinsale divorce will affect Kate's daughter, Lily. Lily Sheen is Kate Beckinsale and Martin Sheen's daughter. Beckinsale and Sheen were together for eight years before they broke up.

According to People, Len Wiseman is particularly concerned for his stepdaughter. Len Wiseman and Lily Sheen have a close relationship and the director deeply loves Lily and is always there for her.

Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman is the latest couple to break up this year. There has been a slew of celebrity break-ups this year alone. It started with the news of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Gardner's divorce. This month alone, actor Tobey Maguire and his wife also announced that they were divorcing.

The most famous couple to divorce this 2016 is Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. But the Brangelina divorce is still in limbo as reports recently surfaced of the Department of Child Services delving more on the accusations of child abuse.
