Google Software News & Update: Google Pixel And Google Pixel XL Are Sure To Have Software Update Until 2018!

Google Pixel has been making waves because of its up to date features. Google is then guaranteeing updates for Google Pixel until the year 2018.

According to TopTech News, Google has made it clear that both Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL smartphones are going to receive software updates until the year 2018. However, those who have Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are going to receive updates until 2017 and the years after that will have no guarantee.

It is known that Google will roll updates on both Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL devices much faster than any other company that manufactures Android driven and powered phones. The software updates on Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL can be triggered through an OTA process where all processes are going to happen within the devices.

Google, however, stated that Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL may not be guaranteed to receive software updates. It is possible that the factory images and settings of Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL are introduced enabling the user to flash the software update.

As for security updates, both Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL are to receive it of up to three years. It is however considered that the two-year time period is not enough for both Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL being sold at premium prices.

Take note that Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL are offered the same price tag as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus but the software support for iOS is much better. The support for both iPhones is available to these devices for an extended period of time.

As added by Geeky Gadgets, the software update for Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL is sure to be until Oct. 2018. This should come as good news to the users of Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL as there is a definite time frame and not just a year.
